Lakeside Renovations

Melissa Roberts is the creative and designer behind Melissa Roberts Interiors. She loves all things design and enjoys sharing it with her community of social media followers through her Instagram and blog. She is currently working on designing a new subdivision in Tennessee!

Melissa and her family bought a 1990’s fixer upper lake house in Tennessee. As with all fixer-uppers, several updates were needed to bring the home's design and look up to current trends. The lake house had existing exterior stone accents and a matching stone fireplace in the living room. The style and color of the existing stone did not fit Melissa's vision so she began her search for the perfect product when she finally settles on Glen-Gery's Landmark Stone Collection. She chose San Moritz Glen Ridge, and stated “it is as if this stone was made for our lake house”, and decided to replace both the exterior and interior stone with Glen-Gery’s San Moritz Glen Ridge. And of course, the nature and the lake view inspired her whole redesign.

By knocking out the old stone and adding new, modern stone, she now has a dreamy fireplace to enjoy with her family. And when walking up to the house from the lake, the aesthetic of the stone brings the character down to the outdoor patio. The only downfall of this project was the anticipation while waiting for it to be complete!

Melissa is no stranger to Glen-Gery products and recently remodeled her master bathroom with our Cashmere Stackstone, another popular product from our Landmark Stone Collection.  Her Tennessee lake house remodel is definitely a 10/10, the new stone elevated the home’s value, curb appeal, and style.
